A group of graduates from Al-Sham Private University - Class of 2024 have urgently called on the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to intervene in resolving the issue of delayed issuance of official university certifications, despite almost half a year passing since their graduation. The students stated in their complaint: "We have contacted the college, student affairs, and even the university presidency, as well as submitted an official letter to the Ministry of Higher Education, but to date, we have not received a clear response regarding the reason for the delay or the date of certification delivery." They added: "The major problem is that the deadline for applications is approaching, with only 15 days left, which is not sufficient to complete all the required documents, notably the university certification. Even if the university starts issuing them now, the remaining time is not enough, putting us at risk of losing our chance in the application process due to an administrative delay that we are not responsible for." The graduates demanded a logical and practical solution, suggesting temporary recognition of the "graduation notification" as an official approved document, to be circulated to all relevant official entities, ensuring the ability to apply without losing years of study and effort. On his part, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Marwan Al-Halabi, confirmed in a statement that the issue has been brought to direct attention, mentioning that Dr. Mohammed Swayd, the Minister's Assistant for Private Education Affairs, will communicate with Al-Sham Private University to address this matter as soon as possible. A wide segment of graduates is eagerly awaiting the activation of this urgent ministerial intervention, hoping for a resolution before it is too late, safeguarding their academic and professional future.
