The National Authority for Quality and Accreditation in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the postponement of all previously scheduled national unified exams, with a new date to be determined later. Responsible sources revealed that this postponement is temporary, lasting only about ten days, until the Higher Education Council convenes to discuss and issue executive decisions related to the national exam. The sources clarified that the appointment of university presidents will be issued soon, necessitating a council meeting at the earliest to follow up on pending files, especially after the appointments of the minister's deputies last week. In a related context, Minister of Higher Education Dr. Marwan Al-Halabi previously announced the cancellation of the national exam as a graduation requirement, adopting it only as a requirement for admission to postgraduate studies. The minister earlier confirmed that the decision includes medical, architecture, informatics, nursing colleges, and all specialties subject to this exam.
