The Syrian Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Amin International Organization, launched a package of quality health projects today, Sunday, during an official ceremony held in the capital, Damascus, as part of efforts to support the health sector and expand specialized medical services, particularly in Deir ez-Zor governorate.

Comprehensive Support Including Dialysis and Specialized Surgeries

The Minister of Health, Dr. Musab Al-Ali, explained that the projects include:
• Providing dialysis machines, with a portion allocated for Deir ez-Zor
• Rehabilitating several health centers and a physical therapy center
• Conducting specialized surgeries such as cochlear implants, corneal transplants, and joint surgeries, by transferring patients from Deir ez-Zor to Damascus and Aleppo until specialized centers are established within the governorate

Establishing New Centers and Providing Advanced Treatment Services

For his part, Dr. Waseel Al-Jarak, program officer at the Amin Organization, confirmed that the package includes:
• Establishing two new health centers
• Founding a specialized dialysis center and equipping it with the necessary equipment
• Providing chemotherapy services for cancer and blood cancer patients
• Performing specialized urological and neurological surgeries
• Conducting cardiac catheterization and heart surgery for children and adults
• Equipping the oncology center with three specialized medical devices to meet treatment needs

A Step Towards Improving the Quality of Health Services in Syria

These projects are part of a comprehensive plan aimed at improving the quality of healthcare and providing advanced services for patients in areas suffering from weak medical infrastructure, with a focus on Deir ez-Zor as a key hub in the current phase.
