The Minister of Higher Education discusses with the Private Union University in Raqqa ways to support the educational process and the return of original headquarters

Dr. Al-Halabi emphasized the ministry's keenness to establish trust with private universities and to provide the necessary support within the framework of comprehensive reforms expected in the higher education sector. He stressed the importance of enhancing the scientific infrastructure and providing high-quality educational services, pointing to the vital role of the National Authority for Quality and Accreditation in regulating educational standards and ensuring transparency and academic excellence.
The meeting addressed the possibility of the university returning to its main headquarters in the city of Manbij in the Aleppo countryside, reopening its previous branches, as well as allowing the registration of new students and providing facilities for the payment of financial fines imposed on them, ensuring the stability of the educational process and accommodating more students.
For its part, the university delegation expressed its confidence in the ministry's supervision of private education, confirming that the university currently includes about 4,000 students distributed between its branches in Damascus and Aleppo, and that it is ready for full cooperation with the ministry to reactivate its academic activities in its original headquarters.
Attending the meeting were the Assistant Minister for Student Affairs, Dr. Abdul Hamid Al-Khalid, and the Assistant Minister for Private Education, Dr. Muhammad Suwaid, where the importance of continuous coordination between the ministry and private universities was emphasized to achieve a competitive and sustainable educational environment.
