The Lebanese Government Discusses Strengthening Cooperation with Syria

The Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam held a consultative meeting with several ministers to discuss the prospects of developing relations between Lebanon and Syria.

The National News Agency reported that the meeting addressed various aspects of bilateral relations, focusing on ways to activate cooperation in political, economic, and security fields.

This meeting comes after statements by Lebanese President Joseph Aoun last week, in which he emphasized Beirut's commitment to improving its relations with Damascus, noting the ongoing coordination between the two countries at the security and military levels.
