The Druze Muslim Unified Sect condemned today, Monday, the repeated Israeli attacks and foreign interventions in Syrian affairs in all its forms aimed at destabilizing its security and stability, affirming its efforts to collaborate with everyone to restore security and safety to all areas that witnessed unfortunate events in the countryside of Damascus and Suwayda, rejecting incitement and stirring up discord among the Syrian people. According to "SANA," His Eminence the Sheikh of the Druze Muslim Unified Sect, Youssef Jarboua, stated: "We condemn the Israeli attacks in general and in detail, and we denounce all forms of foreign interventions and attacks, as they have a negative impact on the overall Syrian situation. We, as a fundamental component, consider the attacks as external interference and a violation of national sovereignty for which Syrians have sacrificed their blood." His Eminence Sheikh Hamoud Al-Hanawi, the Sheikh of the Druze Muslim Unified Sect, emphasized that aggression on the homeland is reprehensible, and no citizen can accept or tolerate it, as well as any internal or external transgressions. Sheikh Al-Hanawi added: "Foreign intervention has negative impacts on the country's security and its citizens," warning against internal transgressions that also affect the safety and security of the residents. Sheikh Al-Hanawi stressed the importance of state intervention to impose security, prevent these transgressions and sectarian conflicts, implement a ceasefire, and deter violators who harm peaceful citizens and act independently without orders from officials and authorities in the state. The Sheikhs highlighted the efforts being made to facilitate the restoration of security and stability, following the recent incidents in several areas such as Jaramana, Ashrafieh, and Sanaya in the countryside of Damascus, and various areas in the countryside of Suwayda, which witnessed internal attacks and clashes that jeopardized the safety and security of citizens. Regarding the ceasefire agreement, Sheikh Youssef Jarboua stated: "An agreement was reached in the presence of the three Sheikhs of the Unified Sect at my residence, and some social figures, on several points, which are currently being implemented, including the agreement that public security in Suwayda province will be exclusively managed by the locals in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, under the supervision of a delegate appointed by them." Sheikh Al-Hanawi pointed out that the agreement emphasizes activating the role of the Ministry of Interior and the judicial police in the province by locals, as its clauses were accepted by the officials who promised to implement them, awaiting their enforcement as they contribute to spreading security and stability, instilling a sense of safety in citizens, facilitating necessary tasks for nation-building, and ensuring a safe life for all citizens. Sheikh Youssef Jarboua called for the formation of investigation committees to uncover the truth about the events that took place in the countryside of Damascus and on the outskirts of Suwayda. The Sheikhs emphasized the necessity of prioritizing reason and wisdom in these circumstances, rejecting and denouncing the abhorrent incitement and instigation aimed at fueling hatred, sowing discord, promoting division, and maintaining the unity of the Syrian people who have historically lived in harmony and love among all their sects and components on this land, which will remain unified through the unity of Syrians, and the consolidation of values of brotherhood, love, and tolerance, standing as one against discord and corruption.
