Al-Shara receives the head of the Iraqi intelligence service in Damascus to discuss security situation and bilateral cooperation

Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara received today, Thursday, in the capital Damascus, the head of the Iraqi intelligence service, Lieutenant General Abdul Karim Abdul Fadl al-Shatri.
According to the official SANA agency, the discussions addressed the security developments in the region, emphasizing the unity and sovereignty of Syrian territory, and the importance of Syria's stability as a fundamental factor in the region's security.
Ways to enhance economic cooperation were also discussed, including activating trade exchange and opening land crossings between the two countries.
The head of the Syrian General Intelligence, Hussein Al-Salama, attended the meeting.
