Kremlin: Russia Supports Holding a New Round of Peace Talks with Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday that Kyiv sent an offer to Moscow to hold another round of peace talks this week and he wants to accelerate the pace of negotiations for a ceasefire.
Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, said that once a final understanding is reached on the date of the next round of talks, Moscow will announce it.
Peskov added: "We have prepared a draft memorandum of understanding, and there is another draft memorandum submitted by the Ukrainian side. It is planned to exchange views and hold discussions on these two drafts, which are completely contradictory so far".
It is worth mentioning that Ukraine and Russia held two rounds of talks in Istanbul on May 16th and the second on June 2nd, resulting in the exchange of thousands of prisoners of war and the remains of dead soldiers. However, the two sides have not made any significant progress towards a ceasefire or a settlement to end the war that has been ongoing for nearly three and a half years.
