The killing of 6 Syrian soldiers and a civilian in Israeli airstrikes in the Damascus countryside and Quneitra

Amid the escalation of Israeli incursions into Syrian territory, drone strikes resulted in the death of six members of the Syrian armed forces near the city of al-Kisweh in the Damascus countryside on the evening of Tuesday, August 26.
The official "Syrian News" channel reported that the members "were killed as a result of strikes by Israeli occupation drones." A Syrian defense ministry official also told AFP that "an Israeli drone targeted one of the military residences belonging to the 44th division in the Harjaly area in the western al-Kisweh countryside, resulting in the immediate death of 3 members of the division."
In a related development, a Syrian civilian named Rami Ahmad Ghanem was killed early Tuesday in the town of Tarinjeh in the northern Quneitra countryside, according to "Syria TV," where he "was killed instantly due to direct injury, which caused his body to be completely mutilated." The television explained that "initial reports spoke of a sniper operation, before it later became clear that the targeting was done by an Israeli occupation drone."
Moreover, the violations were not limited to airstrikes, but extended to a ground incursion, as Israeli occupation forces infiltrated the town of Suwaisa in the southern Quneitra countryside after midnight, "where they fired heavily and randomly within residential neighborhoods to intimidate residents and force them to stay in their homes, and also arrested a young man named Darar al-Jrayyan and took him to a military site in Tal al-Ahmar."
This comes amid the ongoing Israeli escalation, which official sources in Damascus condemned and considered a "clear violation of international law," after announcing the killing of four people, including three Syrian army members, in an Israeli strike targeting two sites, one near the capital and the other in the south of the country.
