Hebrew media reported that the Israeli army prevented a group of settlers from establishing a new settlement inside Syrian territory after they crossed the border fence opposite the "Alon Habshan" settlement in the occupied Golan Heights.
The i24news channel mentioned that families coming from northern West Bank attempted to create a settlement under the name "Nefeh Habshan", but forces from the 210th division intervened immediately and returned them to inside Israel, where they were handed over to the police for investigation.
The army's statement confirmed that the incident constitutes "a criminal offense and a direct danger to the lives of civilians and soldiers," noting that any similar attempt will be dealt with strictly.
