The Internal Security Command in Daraa Governorate announced today, Monday, the suspension of a group of security personnel for appearing in a video clip circulated on social media, where they discuss issues related to civil peace.

The Internal Security Command stated in a press release: "We confirm that the content of this recording does not reflect the official position of the Internal Security institution, and that any statement related to major national issues is only issued by authorized official entities."

The statement pointed out that "the actions of the mentioned personnel represent a clear violation of regulations and instructions, and an unacceptable overstepping of their authorities."

An immediate investigation has been initiated with those involved in the incident, and they have been temporarily suspended from work until the legal and administrative procedures are completed against them.

The statement emphasized that this measure is part of the constant keenness to preserve the prestige of the security institution, and full compliance with the professional standards and legal duties entrusted to the Internal Security personnel.
