President Al-Shara offers condolences to families of those who died in the bombing of Mar Elias Church in Damascus

President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmed Al-Shara, extends his condolences and sympathy to the families of those who died in the heinous bombing at Mar Elias Church in the Dwelaa neighborhood of Damascus, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.

President Al-Shara said: This heinous crime that targeted innocent worshipers reminds us of the importance of unity - government and people - in confronting anything that threatens our security and the stability of our country.

He added: Today, we all stand together, rejecting injustice and crime in all its forms, and we pledge to the bereaved that we will work tirelessly, mobilizing all our specialized security forces, to apprehend all those who participated in and planned this despicable crime, and to bring them to justice to receive their fair punishment.

President Al-Shara concluded: We ask Allah to grant our people patience and solace, to heal our wounded, and to protect our beloved Syria from all harm.
