As part of enhancing cooperation to coordinate humanitarian and service projects that meet the needs of the residents of Sweida Governorate, the Governor of Sweida, Dr. Mustafa Al-Bakur, held a meeting today, Saturday, with Melatios Shatahi, the Director General of the Department of Ecumenical Relations and Development of the Antioch Patriarchate and the rest of the East for the Greek Orthodox, in the presence of Public Relations Officer Abdul Qadir Al-Saleh.
During the meeting, the priorities of the governorate in the service and humanitarian fields were discussed, focusing on the most needy areas, with the aim of establishing joint mechanisms to implement sustainable development projects that contribute to improving living conditions and enhancing community stability. The governor emphasized the importance of coordination between government entities and religious and humanitarian institutions, praising the role played by the patriarchate in supporting local communities, while Shatahi expressed the department's readiness to expand the scope of cooperation to serve the residents of the governorate and enhance development efforts.
