The European Union Mission in Damascus discusses with the Syrian Minister of Interior enhancing mutual cooperation.

Mikael Onmacht, Head of the European Union Mission to Syria, confirmed that his discussions with the Syrian Interior Minister Anas Khatib focused on ways to enhance mutual cooperation between Damascus and the European Union in the near future.

This took place during Onmacht's official visit to the ministry, where he highlighted in a tweet on his official "X" platform that the meeting addressed "the security situation in Syria, related developments, and the key priorities of the Ministry of Interior for the upcoming period," expressing his satisfaction with the meeting.

On his part, Minister Khatib welcomed the Head of the European Mission as part of efforts to enhance regional coordination mechanisms, contributing to achieving sustainable stability in the region.
