Druze Sheikh Youssef Jarbou: We Do Not Accept Any Foreign Interference, We Stand with Our State and Belonging to Our Homeland

Sheikh Youssef Jarbou, the Druze Sheikh of the Muslim Unitarians, affirmed that the current challenge lies in the choice of a state that protects all its citizens, explaining that the people of As-Suwayda are with their Syrian state without any foreign interference.
Sheikh Jarbou stated during a meeting with internal security leaders in the governorates of As-Suwayda and Daraa: "As-Suwayda is currently in a predicament, and what happened in the past 48 hours was unexpected, and we consider As-Suwayda a role model in the region due to its patriotism, commitment, and the adherence of its people to customs, traditions, values, religious and social ethics. However, what happened today undermined many of these traditions and customs."
Sheikh Jarbou called for "rebuilding trust and preventing unacceptable encroachments and violations," emphasizing that "it is the state's duty to protect its citizens from any encroachments that affect everyone."
Sheikh Jarbou praised the words of the internal security leaders, describing them as encouraging and the first step towards building trust, showing responsibility and love for the homeland and Syrians, saying: "We build on your words and on what you have presented, and we stand with our state, our Syrian identity, and our belonging to our homeland, and we do not accept any foreign interference."
