The Director of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, called on Monday for an end to attacks on healthcare centers in the Gaza Strip, after Palestinian officials announced that at least 20 people were killed in two Israeli airstrikes on a hospital in the southern part of the territory.

In a post on the "X" platform, Ghebreyesus said: "As the people of Gaza are starving, their already limited access to healthcare is further restricted by repeated attacks... We can only reiterate: Stop the attacks on healthcare. Stop the fire now!".
