Closing of the "Victory of Aleppo" Exhibition of Plastic Arts and Arabic Calligraphy with a Cultural Poetry Evening

The activities of the "Victory of Aleppo" exhibition of plastic arts and Arabic calligraphy, organized by the Directorate of Culture in Aleppo, concluded on Monday evening with a cultural poetry evening held in the directorate's hall, featuring a selection of the city's most prominent poets.
The poetry evening included participants such as: Ali Haj Hamoud, Hassan Al-Suleiman, Hudhayfah Al-Jabri, Muhammad Al-Zein, Ghaith Al-Alawi, and Khalika Hout, who presented poems that evoked the heroics of the Syrian revolution and embodied the values of resilience and victory, alongside visions that plan for a future homeland that rebuilds its cultural identity.
In a statement to the "SANA" agency, the Assistant Director of Culture in Aleppo, Ali Haj Hamoud, confirmed that "these evenings are platforms for discovering young talents, enriching the literary scene, and enabling the community to actively participate in shaping the cultural landscape."
For his part, poet Ghaith Al-Alawi pointed to the significance of the event, saying: "Poets have returned to the platforms of Aleppo after liberation to contribute to reviving authentic Syrian culture and rooting it in the consciousness of generations."
The event was characterized by a comprehensive cultural message, combining the documentation of the history of struggle through poetry and integrating visual arts with literature in an open creative framework, while also presenting future aspirations through texts that outline the features of a new Syria.
It is worth mentioning that the Directorate of Culture in Aleppo continues to organize a series of evenings to support literary dialogue and enhance the role of culture as a bridge for community communication during the reconstruction phase.
