The acting head of the National Drama Committee, Marwan Al-Hussein, affirmed that the Syrian drama industry will not stop. He mentioned that Syrian series will adorn major Arab television channels during the blessed month of Ramadan, as usual.
He revealed that the committee has provided all available facilities to preserve the value and presence of Syrian drama locally and regionally.
Al-Hussein viewed Syria as a country of art and culture, emphasizing that its prestigious status in these fields cannot be taken away. He stated, "We strive to enhance the role of drama in Syrian society and showcase its bright side, as well as work on developing this industry in quantity and quality to regain its leading position in the Arab world."
He pointed out that the committee has recently received a large number of dramatic scripts in preparation for filming after the upcoming Ramadan season, to be part of the 2026 season. He confirmed that the scrutiny in these works will be high, and the committee aims to remove all obstacles hindering the production process.
Finally, Marwan Al-Hussein denied the existence of white or black lists or specific classifications for artists, emphasizing that the doors of drama are open to all Syrian artists without exception.
