The head of the Local Initiative Committee for Resolving the Crisis in Sweida, Mati' Al-Batin, called today, Monday, for national dialogue and a return to the shared national culture and continued communication despite the difficult circumstances.
During a press conference to provide an update on the latest developments of the initiative, Al-Batin said: "The initiative came to give hope, maintain the national spirit, elevate the national voice, and stop incitement."
Member of the committee, Sheikh Ali Al-Jasim, said: "The initiative to resolve the crisis in Sweida is popular and grassroots and started as a nucleus, and we hope that all elites will rally around it."
Al-Jasim added: "We are concerned with mending the rift among the children of one nation, and Syrians cannot live without a unified Syria, and we are working with all the free to prevent any fracture in it."
