"Century Eclipse".. Rare Astronomical Event Passing Through 11 Countries in 2027

In an exceptional event not witnessed by Earth for over a century, the world will witness on August 2, 2027, the longest total solar eclipse, lasting for 6 minutes and 23 seconds, being classified as one of the most prominent astronomical phenomena in modern times.

According to People magazine, the path of the total eclipse will pass through 11 countries and regions, including: Spain, Gibraltar, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Somalia, covering a strip of 260 kilometers in width and extending for over 15,000 kilometers, making it one of the widest eclipses in terms of geographical area.

The reason behind this majestic scene is the moon's proximity to Earth at that time, making it appear larger, while the sun is at its farthest point, making it appear smaller in size, giving the eclipse its unique visual effect.

Rumors are circulating about a solar eclipse occurring on August 2 of the current year. It is also noted that the next solar eclipse will be on September 21, 2025, but it will be partial, as the moon will obscure a part of the sun's disk, not holding the same splendor as the anticipated total eclipse in 2027, expected to attract millions of viewers worldwide.
