The arrival of the ninth humanitarian convoy to Sweida loaded with urgent aid

Today, the ninth humanitarian convoy arrived in Sweida Governorate through the Bosra al-Sham crossing, loaded with 21 trucks carrying relief, medical, and food aid, in addition to petroleum derivatives, as part of efforts to alleviate the suffering of the population and meet their basic needs.
The incoming shipments include food baskets and containers of drinking water, along with quantities of flour to support food security, and fuel tanks to secure fuel. The aid also included the provision of 7 dialysis machines to support the health sector in the governorate.
This aid came as an initiative from the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, supported by several international organizations, including the Lebanese Red Cross, UNICEF, and the World Food Programme, in addition to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
It is worth noting that the Syrian Arab Red Crescent had carried out, in cooperation with the Refugee Commission, the Qatari Red Crescent, and the Danish Red Cross, a distribution of humanitarian aid in the villages of rural Sweida, targeting the most needy families. These steps come as part of ongoing efforts to address the difficult humanitarian conditions in the region.
