The Ministries of Communications and Information Technology and Education in Syria have announced that there will be a temporary disruption of cellular communications in areas near examination centers across the Syrian Arab Republic to maintain the integrity of the examination process and safeguard the future of students.

A joint statement stated that the ministries are committed to providing a fair and transparent examination environment, noting that this measure is the best available option this year after an intensive study of all technical and logistical options.
It was found that other alternatives were not feasible within the available time frame for implementation.

The statement confirmed that the disruptions will be carried out according to a published schedule and within the narrowest possible geographic and time scope, while ground services and emergency lines will continue to operate to ensure communication continuity when necessary.
The statement also emphasized that the ministries are prioritizing the interests of citizens to mitigate the negative impacts on their daily lives and the operations of institutions, contrary to what happened in the past.

The ministries also expressed their gratitude to the companies 'Syriatel' and 'MTN' for their full cooperation and commitment to compensating subscribers for the period of disruption, with a promise to announce compensation details at a later time.

Finally, the ministries wished success to all students in the examination season, reaffirming their continuous commitment to providing a fair and transparent examination environment.
