Tehran: We will not allow the Strait of Hormuz to become a threat arena

Khatibzadeh added that "Iran has done everything it can to avoid any military clash, even before the recent aggression began," referring to the war with Israel that broke out in mid-June and in which the United States participated by bombing Iranian nuclear facilities.
He added: "When America and Israel do not set any red lines, the risk of a comprehensive war in the region remains… and they must understand that the future of the region will not be as they envision it."
Regarding the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, Khatibzadeh confirmed: "Even during the war with Iraq, we maintained the freedom of oil tankers to pass through the strait. But we consider the Strait of Hormuz part of our strategic depth, and we will not allow it to become a threat arena."
