Syria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Confirms Continued Efforts of the Syrian Government to Restore Security
Syria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Qusai Al-Dahhak, stated that the Syrian government continues its efforts to restore security and stability and improve the living conditions of Syrians throughout the country.

During a session of the United Nations Security Council on Syria today, Thursday, Al-Dahhak added that Syria looks forward to continued positive international engagement supporting it during this critical phase.

Al-Dahhak said: "The Israeli occupation entity continues its aggressions against Syria and expansion plans that violate international law and directly threaten the sovereignty of states and regional and international peace and security."

He pointed out that the results of the International Commission of Inquiry's report on the events on the Syrian coast align with the investigations of the independent national committee.

Syria's representative confirmed that efforts to maintain civil peace and deliver aid continue in Sweida in cooperation with UN agencies and humanitarian partners. He emphasized that the Syrian government firmly rejects attempts to divide Syria and pass destructive external agendas, and any steps that do not contribute to healing the rift and achieving reconciliation.

Al-Dahhak stated: "Overcoming challenges requires strengthening solidarity with Syria, supporting its vital sectors, and fulfilling announced commitments to fund humanitarian response plans."

He added: "Syria emphasizes its commitment to partnership and continuing cooperation with the United Nations and its specialized agencies."

He concluded by saying: "I urge you to continue supporting Syria and its people and to turn the page on a painful chapter of war and suffering. Syria, with its rich history and the awareness of its people, will overcome all hardships and challenges and will remain a united homeland where everyone collaborates to create a better future in the hands of all Syrians and for all Syrians."
