Syrian Ministry of Tourism Launches Ambitious Plan to Enhance Domestic and International Tourism and Diversify the Tourism Product

The Syrian Ministry of Tourism has announced a comprehensive plan aimed at developing the tourism sector locally and internationally by enhancing the diversity of tourism products, including cultural, therapeutic, environmental tourism, as well as conference tourism.
The plan focuses on improving infrastructure and enhancing the level of services provided to visitors, attracting more tourists, especially during the summer season, and enhancing Syria's position as an attractive tourist destination.
In this regard, Engineer Ghayath Al-Farah, Assistant Minister of Tourism for Development and Investment Affairs, stated in a special statement to the SANA agency that the ministry is working on "supporting and empowering local communities in cooperation with administrative units from city and provincial councils".
Al-Farah added that "broad marketing campaigns will be launched and effective international partnerships will be established, resulting in an increase in the number of domestic and international tourists, thus promoting national economy, creating job opportunities, and highlighting national identity and heritage".
