Syrian Ministry of Local Administration Reviews Data of Those Dismissed Due to the Revolution to Reinstate Them to Their Jobs

The Syrian Ministry of Local Administration and Environment has started a process of revising the data of employees who were dismissed from work due to the revolution and who have applied to be reinstated to their jobs.
According to the official SANA agency, the ministry is currently verifying the accuracy of the registered information to later announce the names of those accepted, indicating that the evaluation process is carried out by dividing the files by provinces. Each province will then study the names within it and verify their accuracy.
SANA quoted the ministry's media office as saying that after completing the verification process, the entity will resend its file to the Directorate of Administrative Development in the central administration, including the names of those accepted and rejected along with the reason for rejection next to each name. After completing the verification process, the names of those accepted will be published on the ministry's official platforms and its affiliated entities for them to review their respective centers by province to initiate the return procedures.
The media office explained that the most important criterion for evaluation is that the employee was separated for reasons related to the revolution, in addition to competence and experience in the field.
Regarding the distribution of accepted employees, the media office stated that it will be based on the need within the existing staff while considering the worker's place of residence and proximity to work. It was also noted that the worker may not necessarily return to the same job title they previously held.
Regarding the importance of reinstating the dismissed employees, the media office emphasized that it will contribute to enhancing work by utilizing their acquired experiences, whether from their previous work or through some of them gaining external experiences as a result of being displaced outside the country.
Especially since there is a segment of registered names who are displaced residing outside the country and working in the same field within the countries they migrated to.
The Syrian Ministry of Local Administration and Environment had started conducting interviews with the dismissed employees who supported the Syrian revolution at the end of last May, in order to ensure justice for them, reassess their job files, and in line with the ministry's vision and plan.
