The Syrian Ministry of Education announces an emergency plan to renovate 59 schools with Turkish support.

Engineer Mohammad Al-Hanoun, Director of School Buildings at the Ministry of Education, met today, Sunday, June 15, with representatives from the Turkish Embassy in Damascus to discuss immediate plans to renovate 59 schools in several Syrian provinces, to be ready for the new academic year.
During the meeting held at the ministry's headquarters, Al-Hanoun confirmed that renovation works will later include an additional 100 schools after completing the first phase, aiming to ensure students are received in a suitable educational environment.
This meeting was based on an assessment of needs conducted through joint field visits between the ministry and the Turkish Embassy, which identified a need for renovation and rehabilitation in 100 schools across various provinces.
It is worth mentioning that the School Buildings Directorate has, since the post-liberation phase until now, renovated and rehabilitated 200 schools out of 8,000 schools that were out of service in various parts of Syria.
