Syrian Ministers: Damascus Exhibition is an Important Step on the Road to Reconstruction

On the occasion of the opening of the 62nd session of the Damascus International Exhibition, Syrian ministers confirmed that the exhibition represents an important window for Syria to the world and reflects a new phase of construction and renaissance after liberation, during their speeches at the opening ceremony which witnessed wide official and Arab participation.
The Minister of Information, Hamza Mustafa, described this session as "exceptional" as it is the first after liberation, pointing out that "its launch under the auspices of the President of the Republic and the presence of official Saudi, Turkish, and Arab economic activities means a new start for the Syrian economy." He added that "the agreements signed over the past months represent a real opportunity to transform these memorandums into agreements, and to put them into execution so that work can begin immediately."
For his part, the Minister of Education, Mohammad Abdul Rahman Turk, stated that "the exhibition is a window for Syria to the outside world and the Syrian interior," noting the ministry's keenness to participate through a pavilion showcasing its products and the products of its affiliated production institutes.
The Minister of Health, Musab Al-Ali, confirmed that the exhibition "represents a real opportunity to showcase the achievements made during the past period after liberation, and to enhance cooperation with Arab and foreign countries." He announced that the ministry has started "from today, to receive those wishing to donate blood, through a mobile clinic for the blood bank throughout the exhibition period."
For his part, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdul Salam Haykal, emphasized that the exhibition "carries hope and optimism and a feeling that the country, after years of the oppressive practices of the fallen regime, has returned to its people who were forcibly displaced from their homeland." He pointed out that Syria "embodies the title set by the current session of the exhibition 'Syria Welcomes the World' by hosting hundreds of Arab and foreign companies and thousands of visitors."
The Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Mohammad Anjarani, explained that the launch of the exhibition "is a confirmation of the state of recovery and the path of construction, development, and renaissance that Syria is experiencing," expressing hope that "the positive results of the exhibition will contribute to the reconstruction in Syria."
For his part, the Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, Raed Al-Saleh, confirmed that this day "is a special day for the Syrian government, to clarify its vision for development plans," pointing out that "this great effort confirms that Syria embraces and welcomes the world at this exhibition."
More than 800 local and international companies from 20 Arab and foreign countries are participating in the exhibition, covering an exhibition area of 95,000 square meters, and it opens its doors to visitors starting tomorrow, Thursday, until the fifth of September, daily from 5 PM to 11 PM.
