Minister of Justice of Syria, Mazhar Al-Wais, received a delegation from Amnesty International led by Christine Becker in Damascus today, Thursday. Christine expressed continuous support for the Syrian people over the past 14 years, referring to the organization's numerous reports condemning the violations, bombings, and killings suffered by the Syrian people. She also welcomed the abolition of the terrorism court, emphasized the importance of supporting judicial independence, reparations, and restoring people's rights. Minister Al-Wais expressed his country's readiness to cooperate with everyone, stating that the government is open to dialogue in accordance with national interests, affirming that Syria is a country of law and justice. Al-Wais pointed out that achieving stability in the country requires transitional justice and the support of international organizations in documenting violations and reparations, reaffirming the government's commitment to standing with the victims and working towards achieving justice for them.
