The Syrian Minister of Information, Dr. Hamza Mustafa, said today, Saturday, that "Like Wisam al-Assad, and over the years before liberation, a quasi-daily media material is evoked in the media as tangible evidence of the degradation that the ousted regime has reached, and its insistence on humiliating the Syrians and ignoring their sufferings".
In a tweet on the "X" platform, the Minister added: "The awaited day has come, and tomorrow the drug dealer and financier of militias are in the hands of justice after a successful ambush and a well-executed lure operation carried out by the Ministry of Interior as part of an escalating process in daily pursuit of criminals and violators against the Syrians".
The General Intelligence Agency managed today, Saturday, to arrest Wisam al-Assad, the cousin of the ousted President Bashar al-Assad.
The Ministry of Interior stated on its Telegram channel: "As part of a well-planned security operation, the General Intelligence Agency, in cooperation with the relevant authorities in the Ministry of Interior, managed to lure the criminal Wisam al-Assad, who is considered one of the prominent drug dealers and involved in several crimes during the period of the ousted regime".
