Syrian Information Minister: Israel Does Not See the New Syria Positively, But Wants to Divide It

In an interview with the Turkish Anadolu Agency on Thursday, Minister Mustafa said, "Unfortunately, some internal parties are trying to pursue narrow political agendas by playing into Israeli hands, and this is exactly what happened in Suwayda."
Mustafa added, "Everyone should look at the situation of the Druze inside occupied Palestine. Israel only supports a certain group among them and wants to apply this experience to the Syrian reality. It knows that the vast majority of Syrian Druze look towards Damascus."
Minister Mustafa also emphasized Syria's constant commitment to sovereign relations with all parties. Syria relies on the people of Suwayda, rejects calls for violence on social media, and opposes sectarian and separatist rhetoric that violates the law.
The Minister stated that the group obstructing the entry of humanitarian aid into Suwayda is governed by Hakmat al-Hajri, as the state cannot prevent its entry.
Regarding the meetings in Paris with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Information Minister said, "The focus was on implementing the agreements reached with them and adhering to the March 10th agreement, avoiding any dead-end scenarios or relying on any wrong calculations in the future." He pointed out that the United States is seeking this, as well as Turkey, which has clear positions on the unity of Syria.
He added, "There is a significant political opportunity for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to reach agreements that ensure their active presence in Syria's future within the three main pillars that are non-negotiable: one country, one government, one army."
