Syrian Minister of Information discusses with the United Nations enhancing media capabilities and drama.

Syrian Minister of Information, Dr. Hamza Mustafa, held a meeting with Dr. Mohammed Sadiq Madoi, Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program in Syria, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the field of media capacity building.
During the meeting, which took place on Thursday, May 8th at the ministry's headquarters, the role of media in keeping pace with modern technological developments was discussed, along with mechanisms to support and exchange media expertise to improve media performance and enhance sustainable development priorities in Syria.
Also present at the meeting were Mr. Ruhi Afghani from the regional office of the United Nations Development Program in Arab States, and Mr. Hassan Fallaha, Director of the Economic Recovery, Social Protection, and Social Recovery Team in the program.
In a related context, Dr. Mustafa met with representatives of several Arab and Gulf production companies to discuss opportunities for cooperation and investment in the Syrian drama industry, as part of efforts to facilitate the return of Arab producers to Damascus and support the development of the drama and artistic industry.
The meeting also addressed the facilitations provided by the Drama and Cinema Committee under the Ministry of Information to support the artistic production sector and enable local and Arab companies to resume their activities in Syria, and enhance their presence in the regional drama market.
