Syrian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Marwan Al-Halabi, discussed today, Wednesday, with the Executive Director of the House of Quality for Consultations and Training Institute "BACT" in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Amir Al-Hariri and the accompanying delegation, a series of initiatives in the field of educational grants, training, and qualification.

Minister Al-Halabi welcomed the proposed initiatives, which encourage others to do the same, indicating that a communication and follow-up committee will be formed to coordinate between the ministry and the institute, in order to benefit from these initiatives and achieve equal opportunities for students in this field.

Minister Al-Halabi emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, and explained that the ministry is nearing completion of the digital transformation project, which is a priority for them, and moving towards linking scientific research and educational outputs with the needs of the labor market.

In turn, Al-Hariri expressed that the aim of these initiatives is to support the reconstruction process, transfer the institute's experience and expertise in the education sector, and share these experiences with the ministry, pointing out that the institute offers educational and professional qualifications and accredited certificates in Britain and the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates, and the possibility of establishing a branch of the institute in Damascus.

Dr. Yara Yahya, the Academic Director at the institute, presented a range of initiatives including: offering scholarships to top students in the General Secondary Certificate in its scientific and literary branches, professional excellence awards to top students in a number of government colleges and institutes, workshops and free courses for mothers affected by the war, and a platform for students affected by the war.

It is worth mentioning that "BACT" Institute is a training institution licensed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority "KHDA" in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, offering a range of courses and training programs in various fields, with the aim of qualifying individuals and developing their skills, providing distinguished training opportunities that meet the needs of the labor market, focusing on applied training that directly benefits educational institutions receiving these courses.
