The Minister of Education in the Syrian Arab Republic, Dr. Mohammad Abdul Rahman Turkom, conducted an inspection tour of the exam centers in the Dwelaa neighborhood in Damascus, accompanied by the Minister's assistant, Youssef Anan, and the assistant to the Minister of Interior, Major General Ahmed Latouf, to observe the progress of the vocational high school exams and the strict security measures in place to protect the students and the educational process.

Minister Turkom strongly condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted St. Elias Church in the same neighborhood yesterday, stating that "what happened affects all Syrians" and saying, "The ministry is working in cooperation with the relevant authorities to ensure that students can continue taking their exams smoothly and safely."

On his part, Major General Ahmed Latouf, the assistant to the Minister of Interior, affirmed that "security forces are on high alert to provide comprehensive protection for the exam centers and ensure the exams proceed without any obstacles."

It is worth mentioning that the exams for the basic and vocational education certificates started last Saturday and will continue until the 10th of July, while the exams for the general high school certificate and its branches will begin on the 12th of the same month.
