Minister of Economy and Industry in Syria, Mohammad Nidal Al-Sha'ar, announced the administrative structure of the ministry after merging it from three ministries: Industry, Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, and Economy and Foreign Trade. The decision today, Tuesday, April 22, stated that three general directorates have been formed under the ministry, representing the former ministries: General Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, another for the Economy, and a third for Industry. Each of the three directorates has legal personality, financial and administrative independence, and is headed by a deputy specialized for the minister, assuming the tasks of the ministry emanating from it, replacing the merged ministries, according to the decision. The staff of each ministry is considered staff of the newly formed directorate on its behalf, with a separate budget.
