Syrian Minister of Agriculture: The issue of deliberate fires is under investigation and there is no evidence of it

The Syrian Minister of Agriculture, Amjad Badr, said today, Saturday, that the issue of the Latakia fires being deliberate is under investigation and there is no evidence of it.

In a statement to the Syrian channel "Al-Ikhbariya", Minister Badr added: "The scarcity of rain and the improper use of water have caused a drought wave in Syria".

The Minister continued: "We have inherited a heavy legacy due to the corruption of the former regime and we need time to implement reforms".
