Dr. Amjad Badr, the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform in Syria, met today, Friday, June 27, with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Brazilian Embassy in Damascus, Joao Zanibbi, to discuss ways to develop agricultural cooperation between the two countries and increase the volume of trade in the agricultural sector.


During the meeting, held at the ministry's headquarters, mechanisms for exporting Syrian agricultural products to Brazil were discussed, in addition to enhancing investment opportunities in areas of mutual interest, especially in the livestock, meat production, and fodder sectors.


Both sides also addressed ways to exchange agricultural experiences and facilitate communication between Syrian and Brazilian investors, emphasizing the importance of providing necessary facilitations to boost economic cooperation between the two countries.
