Syrian-Israeli Diplomatic Meeting Aims to Enhance Stability

The Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani, met in the French capital Paris with an Israeli delegation. This meeting, which took place "with American mediation", is part of efforts to enhance security and stability in southern Syria and the region.
The discussions focused on several key files, where both sides discussed ways to de-escalate tensions and the necessity of non-interference in Syrian internal affairs, and the pursuit of agreements that support stability in the region. The discussions also included mechanisms for monitoring the ceasefire in Sweida Governorate and the issue of reactivating the 1974 agreement.
This meeting paves the way for what was previously agreed upon, as Minister Al-Shaibani had previously met in Amman on the 12th of this month with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi and the U.S. Special Envoy to Syria, Mr. Thomas Barak.
During the trilateral meeting, ways to enhance cooperation and coordination among the three parties were discussed, serving the stability of the Syrian Arab Republic, its sovereignty, and its regional security. It was also agreed to form a Syrian-Jordanian-American working group to support the Syrian government's efforts to enhance the ceasefire in Sweida Governorate and work towards a comprehensive solution to the crisis.
