The General Administration of Border Guards at the Syrian Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Drug Control Administration, managed to seize 60 kilograms of narcotic hashish on the Lebanese border today, Wednesday.
The Ministry of Interior stated via Telegram: "The narcotic materials were on their way to be smuggled into Syrian territory at the Lebanese border in the area of Nabek in the village of Flita."
The ministry added: "An exchange of fire occurred during the operation, which ended with the smugglers fleeing into the Lebanese depth while the entire quantity was seized and the necessary report was organized."
