The Syrian Ministry of Interior affirmed today, Monday, that the entry of internal security forces and units from the Ministry of Defense into the province of Al-Suwayda came as part of its national mission to stop bloodshed, maintain security, and impose stability, following the rapid developments witnessed in the region over the past two days.

The ministry expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured, indicating that what happened constitutes a serious threat to civil peace and public security, and is contrary to the law and the values of coexistence and national unity that form the basis of the Syrian state.

The ministry also emphasized that its role is limited to maintaining security and protecting civilians without bias towards any party, while working to fully restore stability, ensuring the protection of citizens' lives. It expressed full respect for the rights of all Syrian people, regardless of their affiliations and components, and reiterated its commitment to protecting them and ensuring their security and safety.

The ministry appealed to all parties to demonstrate national responsibility, affirming that any dispute must be resolved through state institutions and the judiciary. It called on citizens to cooperate with the security forces to ensure a gradual return of calm, preserve civil peace, and safeguard lives and properties.
