The internal security in Latakia province, today Wednesday, managed to arrest Colonel Rami Munir Ismail, one of the former regime officers, who served as the director of the Air Intelligence Department in Latakia and Tartus provinces.
The Syrian Interior Ministry said on Telegram: "In a well-planned ambush, the internal security leadership in Latakia province managed to arrest the criminal Colonel Rami Munir Ismail, one of the former regime officers, who held the position of director of the Air Intelligence Department in Latakia and Tartus provinces, and was responsible for many violations against civilians".
The ministry added that "the operation took place while he was attempting to flee the country, and this operation is part of efforts to pursue war criminals and present them to the competent judiciary to take the necessary legal actions".
