Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani stated today on his account on the "X" platform.
Al-Shibani said: "Since day one, we have been facing a hidden and declared war to break the will of the Syrian people and defeat them in the fields of security, politics, and government."

He added: "We have restored Syria to its position in the region and the world, and the Syrian people have shown a unique national awareness and patriotism by uniting and protecting national interests, standing behind their leadership, especially in areas where foreign powers had placed their bets."

Al-Shibani pointed out that the new Syrian leadership, represented by President Ahmed al-Shar'a, is taking prudent steps to enhance security, stability, and civil peace.

He affirmed that the Syrian people have regained control of their country after more than fifty years of exclusion and tyranny, sacrificing every Syrian home for this moment with all they have.

Commenting on the events of yesterday on the Syrian coast, he said: "A country whose army is its own people cannot be defeated."

Al-Shibani added: "Our people can rest assured that Syria has once again passed the test and is moving towards the future with strength and steadfastness."

Al-Shibani also expressed his gratitude to the sisterly and friendly countries that have expressed their support for the Syrian government in confronting the remnants of the Assad regime.

He concluded his post with "mercy to the martyrs of our security and military institutions, speedy recovery for the wounded, and punishment for those involved in this great betrayal."
