The Syrian Minister of Energy, Engineer Mohammad Al-Bashir, discussed today, Monday, with the Director of Middle East Programs at the Atlantic Council, Will Wexler, and his accompanying delegation, the prospects for enhancing cooperation and exchanging views on various issues in the energy sector.
During the meeting, Al-Bashir pointed out the efforts made to advance the energy sector in Syria and the challenges it faces, emphasizing the importance of dialogue with specialized international institutions to exchange expertise and benefit from global experiences, especially in traditional and renewable energy fields.
The Atlantic Council delegation expressed its interest in following up on developments in the Syrian energy sector, noting that the council seeks through its programs to enhance international cooperation and provide approaches to address issues of energy security, the environment, and sustainable economic development.
