Syrian Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed Saleh said that a delegation from the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management, headed by the Director of the Syrian Civil Defense, visited the Commander of the Lebanese Army, General Rudolf Haikal, in his office in Yarzeh, today, Friday.
In a post on the "X" platform, Saleh added that the delegation "expressed the gratitude and appreciation of the Syrian Arab Republic to the leadership of the Lebanese army for the great efforts made in supporting firefighting operations on the coast during the past month by sending helicopters".
He pointed out that "the delegation confirmed that the participation of the Lebanese army in this mission represents a noble humanitarian message and embodies the depth of brotherly ties and mutual cooperation between the two brotherly countries".
