Syrian Ministry of Defense: Increase in Attacks by "Remnants of the Fallen Regime" on Military Forces in the Coast

The Media and Communication Department of the Ministry of Defense reported that a military vehicle belonging to the Syrian Arab Army was attacked yesterday by groups of "remnants of the fallen regime" in the rural area of Latakia Governorate, confirming that no human losses were recorded as a result of the attack.
A statement reported by the "SANA" agency from the ministry stated: "The past three days have witnessed an increase in the pace of attacks carried out by these groups, targeting army forces in the rural areas of Latakia and Tartus."
The ministry confirmed its determination to continue its duties in "protecting all components of the Syrian people and maintaining civil peace," warning against any attempts to target civilians or military personnel, emphasizing that it "will not tolerate any targeting of army forces or civilians." It also warned the "remnants of the fallen regime" against "undermining security and stability in the Syrian coast."
This comes at a time when the region has witnessed an enhancement of security and military deployment, as the efforts of army units and general security have led to a noticeable stability in the rural and border areas of the Syrian coast, within ongoing operations to confront attempts by these groups to spread chaos.
