Syrian Civil Aviation Authority Denies Closure of Damascus International Airport

The Syrian Civil Aviation Authority categorically denied the circulating news about the suspension of operations at Damascus International Airport, confirming that air traffic there is proceeding as usual without any disruption.
Assistant President of the Authority, Amjad Nakhleh, stated in an exclusive interview with SANA that the airport is operating at full capacity, with all scheduled flights being carried out without cancellation or delay, noting that the movement of arriving and departing passengers is normal.
Nakhleh added: "The airport received 28 incoming flights from several destinations yesterday and is preparing to receive another 29 flights today," confirming that the rumors about the airport's closure are "completely untrue."
The Assistant President of the Authority urged the media to conduct accurate investigation and rely on official sources in disseminating information to avoid spreading unreliable news.
