Syrian Authorities Arrest 'Grave Robber' under Assad Regime and Refer Him to Judiciary

As part of its campaign to enhance security and hold accountable those involved in previous violations, the Syrian Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of a man named 'Abdul Rahman Dahrour' in Aleppo province, after proving his involvement in violations during military operations in northern Syria under the previous regime.
According to media reports and video recordings dating back to 2020, Dahrour was seen digging graves in a northern village after armed groups known as the 'National Defense Forces' took control of the area.
The ministry confirmed that the detainee has been transferred to the competent judicial authorities to take the necessary legal actions, emphasizing that 'any violation or breach of the law will be met with accountability, regardless of affiliation or status'.
The security authorities continue their campaign to maintain stability in the country, as they have arrested several individuals linked to the previous regime and involved in its crimes, especially in the coastal region during the past week.
