Syrian Airlines Launches Flights to Tripoli and Considers Expanding to Benghazi

Syrian Airlines announced the launch of its first flights from Damascus International Airport to Mitiga Airport in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, as part of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of air transport and facilitating the movement of travelers.
Captain Samah Arabi, Director of Syrian Airlines, stated to the "SANA" agency that "the current flights from Tripoli to Damascus are classified as charter flights and not regular, as fixed days have not been set for them yet," explaining that they "are subject to considerations related to loads and demand".
Arabi added that there is ongoing coordination to operate flights to the city of Benghazi, noting that "work is underway to complete the security approvals and specific protocols," expressing his expectation that "the launch of regular flights will be soon following a visit by a delegation from Libyan civil aviation to Damascus and Aleppo airports and the completion of the required procedures".
This comes after the company launched, on the seventh of last month, its first flights from Aleppo International Airport to Dubai, as part of its expansion plan to enhance its presence in Arab and international markets.
