Syria Wins Four Medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad

The Syrian Scientific Olympiad team won four silver medals and 3 bronze medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad "IChO 2025" hosted by the United Arab Emirates in its 57th edition from July 5 to 14, with the participation of students from 90 countries around the world.

The Excellence and Creativity Authority stated in a statement today, Sunday, that the silver medal was won by student Salma Omran from Homs, while the bronze medals were won by students Jad Ahmad from Hama, Eliu Mashreqi from Homs, and Maha Al-Obaid from Latakia.

According to the authority, with this result, Syria achieved the first place among Arab countries in this important international scientific competition.

This Olympiad is an opportunity for young people from all over the world, especially aspiring youth interested in the field of chemistry, to meet. It reflects the host country's industries and research in the field of chemistry.
