14 billion dollars in international investments in Syria as part of a new economic map

The head of the Syrian economists, Mohammad Al-Bakour, confirmed that Syria is steadily moving towards building a new economic map based on investment in vital sectors such as industry, energy, transportation, and tourism, with a focus on infrastructure projects and public facilities, reflecting the country's direction towards sustainable development.

Al-Bakour pointed out, in a statement to the "SANA" agency, today Sunday, the signing of a number of major projects with international companies with a total investment of 14 billion dollars, which reflects investors' confidence in the Syrian economic environment in the post-war phase.

He emphasized the necessity of expanding the investment map to include all governorates and not just major centers, confirming that the economists' syndicate has qualified staff capable of supporting local projects and achieving balanced development.

He also considered that the human element is the true foundation of any economic renaissance, calling for the enhancement of training and qualification programs in cooperation with the academic and private sectors to ensure the sustainability of projects and achieve quality performance.
